Today is day seven of The Toronto International Film Festival and the Oscar buzz that traditionally begins in Yorkville has already rung in the Academy’s ears.  The mania around anticipating Oscar success is said to have died down this year, which may make lend a certain degree of purity to the viewing experience.  Regardless of a perceived downgrade in hype, the festival is teeming with celebrities, and a few of them stopped by the Getty Images Studio for a portrait.  See our favorites here.

Hyped films include The Wrestler, starring Mickey Rourke and Evan Rachel-Wood, Rachel Getting Married  by Jonathan Demme starring Anne Hathaway, The Secret Life of Bees with Dakota Fanning (so grown up!) and The Duchess starring Kiera Knightly.

One documentary in the schedule, Paris, Not France, caused a little bit of cheap commotion when Paris Hilton’s people pressured the festival into reducing the number of screenings of the film.   Adria Petty (daughter of Tom Petty) made the low budget film chronicling the life and times of Paris Hilton in 2006 and while the commotion surrounding the screening indicated that there is unflattering dirt to be dished, it may have simply been a publicity maneuver.
