Azure was on everyone’s mind at the Alberta Ferretti Flagship Store Opening on Melrose Avenue hosted by Alberta Ferretti, Marisa Tomei, Lucy Liu, Ellen Pompeo and Vogue at the Alberta Ferretti Store in West Hollywood, California.  Hosts and guests alike, incorporated blue into their ensembles last night.  Nicky Hilton, Nicole Richie and January Jones took the monochromatic approach and wore black or white while stylist Rachel Zoe and Natalie Zea braved the contrasting palette of rust.  Are color guidelines given on these party invites?  Which lovely lady wore blue the best:  Lucy Liu, Marissa Tomei, Sanaa Lathan or Emmy Rossum?  Marissa Tomei takes the cake on this one.

With her new ABC show Cashmere Mafia being hailed as “the new Sex and the City,” Lucy Liu has decided to play her power executive character Mia Mason onscreen and off. Liu went for drama in a silk fuchsia Alexander McQueen dress, complete with elbow length gloves as she arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater before a taping of the Late Show with David Letterman in New York City. Liu wore a Zac Posen gown to the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit Gala “Poiret: The King Of Fashion” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Wearing a headband by Fred Leighton, Liu worked the drama of her jewel toned stunner for the photographers delight.
