Katie Holmes showed off her new bangs backstage at the MTV Movie Awards on June 1st. The new shape hearkens back to the short dos of the mid 1970s. Katie’s new look includes more spiky volume on the front, top and thins out towards the sides. She does not fully commit to the feathery helmet aesthetic that Liza Minnelli has played with for the past 30 years, but she gets awfully close. Florence Henderson familiarized the world with a similar hairstyle as Carol Brady on The Brady Bunch, alternating between a short and long tail as the series matured.
