Actress Renee Zellweger arrives at ELLE’s 16th Annual Women In Hollywood Event at the Four Seasons Hotel on October 19, 2009 in Beverly Hills, California.

Color coordination seems to be the thing these days and there are a few benefits to suggesting a color theme to a parties attendees.  Photo ops (especially group photo ops) look great and it gives the event goers some focus. Last night at ELLE’s 16th Annual Women In Hollywood Event at the Four Seasons Hotel, most everyone played along, except for Diane Kruger, who wore blue!  We gather the dress code was: reds, nudes, silver or neutrals.  Here are our picks for the best dressed in each catagory.

Best Red: Renee Zellweger, runners up Amber Rose and Robin Tunney

Julianne Moore is spring, personified in Christian Lacroix Couture at the premiere of Blindness at Cannes on May 14th. The gown rides the line between the fanciful fairytale gown of girlhood dreams and a gawdy mess, but Moore carries it off looking like a good old fashioned movie star. The dress does have a lot going on. Feathers, gems, runching and flowers on top of an unusual shade of faded chartreuse. Dance comes to mind with an elongated sugar plum fairy meets can-can dancer feel. Black feathers add contradictory weight to her shoulders, giving her a vulture-esque appearance, but this edgy element is also what keeps the gown from being sickeningly sweet. Moore grounds the airy frippery with dark strappy shoes and a velvet clutch.

Julianne Moore (M) walked with her daughter Liv Helen Freundlich (R) and a little unidentified school friend (L) in New York City. While Julianne chose to go for the hip downtown mom look, Liv left no question as to what her favorite color was! Do you let your kids dress themselves? Discuss.
