Princess Diana, in a gown by Christina Stambolian, wore it June of 1994 to the Serpentine Gallery, London. The California State Supreme Court voted 6-1 to uphold proposition 8 which makes it illegal for same-sex couples to marry in the state of California. Azure was on everyone’s mind at the Alberta Ferretti Flagship Store Opening on Melrose Avenue hosted by Alberta Ferretti, Marisa Tomei, Lucy Liu, Ellen Pompeo and Vogue at the Alberta Ferretti Store in West Hollywood, California.  Hosts and guests alike, incorporated blue into their ensembles last night.  Nicky Hilton, Nicole Richie and January Jones took the monochromatic approach and wore black or white while stylist Rachel Zoe and Natalie Zea braved the contrasting palette of rust.  Are color guidelines given on these party invites?  Which lovely lady wore blue the best:  Lucy Liu, Marissa Tomei, Sanaa Lathan or Emmy Rossum?  Marissa Tomei takes the cake on this one.

Melanie Brown, aka “Scary Spice” of The Spice Girls and her lawyer Gloria Allred, addressed ongoing paternity issues with Eddie Murphy during a press conference this afternoon. Allred, claims that Murphy “has not paid one penny of child support” for the former couple’s daughter, said she plans to ask the court to award child support and “to decide what is reasonable.” Brown elaborated telling reporters, “I am here for one reason and one reason only – her name is Angel. Angel is my baby and Eddie’s. She will always know that she was planned and wanted by both of us, but I want her to know that she has two parents who desire to be responsible for her during her life and who love her so much that they want to be a part of it.”
