Anglophiles unite: ‘Britain on View,’ now more than ever (video)

February 15, 2012 | By Maria Dias | Archive

Maybe it has something to do with a little sporting event scheduled for this summer, but it seems that Great Britain is enjoying its moment in the sun. Whether it’s ads like these from VisitBritain popping up in major metropolitan areas, or renewed interest in all things British (from Britishisms to Burberry, to the BBC), lately, it feels like all eyes are on London — or the UK as a whole, for that matter.

So, what should you do? Embrace it! And enjoy this look back at the cars, the fashion — and most of all, the people — that have made Britain so great.

Editor’s note: Maria Dias is an Anglophile and managing editor of this blog. She recently returned from a (too short!) trip to London and cannot wait to make another visit.  Until then she promises to keep calm and carry on… while staring at the ‘Great’ ads (adverts?) on the train she takes to NY each day.
