Like that song on TV? These artists are ones to watch

January 3, 2012 | By Dwight Cheu | All Things Music Licensing, Creative, Entertainment, Music

When you’re cozying up in front of the TV this week, pay extra close attention to the music you hear during your favorite shows – it could be the work of one of our Getty Images Music artists.

Singer/songwriters such as Salme Dhalstrom, Kerry Muzzey and Chris Ballew all had music placed this year – and shows such as “Who What Wear,” “MTV Celebrity Fit Club” and HGTV’s “Curb Appeal,” respectively, all benefitted from their creations.

Of course we’re thrilled to be a part of it; helping our partners create engaging experiences is at the heart of what we do.  Did you know that in just the TV programming space (not including advertising, film, corporate, web , etc.), Getty Images makes hundreds of thousands of placements each year, resulting in millions of dollars in royalty payments for our artists?
