Year in Focus: The images that defined 2011

From the Arab Spring to turmoil in the global economy, royal weddings to the Rugby World Cup — 2011 has been a momentous year. Our award-winning photographers covered more than 8,000 news events, 19,000 sports events and 51,000 entertainment events this year, and, through our customers, helped tell the world’s stories with compelling imagery and video.
