How do you find celebrities? Three more sites powered by Getty Images search infrastructure

December 13, 2011 | By Getty Images | Technology, What We're Working On

You may have noticed some changes to our WireImage, FilmMagic and Contour websites recently, as our tech and ecommerce teams have been working hard at enhancing the shopping experience for our customers. There are several new features included in the re-launch (not to mention a new Contour blog – check it out!), but one of the most important is being able to provide our customers with a better search experience.

Now that WireImage is powered by Getty Images search technology, images like this one of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez at the 28th Annual MTV Video Music Awards can be found simply by inputting “Justin Bieber” “Selena Gomez” “MTV” into the search field. Finding the Biebs just got that much easier. (Photo by Kevin Mazur, WireImage, Getty Images)

What does this look like?

The Getty Images search infrastructure is now powering the Contour, WireImage and FilmMagic websites. You can learn more about Getty Images search here, or just try this: On WireImage and FilmMagic, you can now search by multiple celebrity names at the same time and combine terms such as “Tom Cruise” and “Academy Awards” to see only images of Tom Cruise from that event.  On Contour, you can browse by latest features, or by our amazing photographers, including such stars as Jonathan Becker, George Holz, Yu Tsai and Diana Walker.

Take a look!
