Model As Muse Gala: Who Bent Gender Best?

Singer Rihanna and actress Lake Bell attend “The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4, 2009 in New York City.  The Costume Institute Galas are the place to stake your claim as one who is in tune with fashion.  It’s not easy to dress for an event like this.  Last years “Super Hero” theme provided some perimeters for dressing but this year was more or less a free for all.  Both Lake Bell and Rihanna took a masculine turn on glamour and wore black suits.  Rihanna accessorized her gleaming black with leather gloves and a bow tie, while Bell tipped a gangster hat and paired it with a traditional neck tie.  Which star looked best bending gender last night?
