Deborah Harry is almost inseparable from the idea of blond, having fronted the band, Blondie throughout the mid 1970s to the early 1980s.   It is shocking to see her as anything but blond, but she has her roots in a rather average light brown.  She was a cocktail bunny at New York’s Playboy club in the early 70′s  as a brunette and played in the New Jersey based folk-rock band, The Wind in the Willows (pictured on left).  It was only after her hair was dyed  it’s signature platinum blond that she enjoyed widespread success as “Blondie”.
