It is often said that the streets of Manhattan are a fashion runway of sorts. Katie Holmes attracts media attention while cat-walking a New York sidewalk in a questionable pairing of ankle-rolled, baggy, distressed jeans and a contrastingly tidy-prim t-shirt and cardigan combo. Somehow her summer scarf makes the ensemble seem purposeful. She isn’t the first celebrity to don this baggy distressed jean look of late. Amanda Peet dressed similarly slumpy at the Pineapple Express premiere earlier this week. Who pulls the hand-me-down denim look off better?
