Fashion News Live creator and host Rocco G has been a close Fashion Week friend of mine since we first met under the tents at Bryant Park in New York five years ago. So, when I was asked to interview for Fashion News Live about all topics fashionable at LA Fashion Week this season, naturally I jumped at the opportunity to chat with my friend.

Our Fashion News Live on-air friendship began a few seasons ago when Rocco G innocently asked me about my most embarrassing moment under the tents. I told him of a time when I tripped over my two feet trying to capture a photograph of Vogue editor Ms. Anna Wintour. Little did I know that Fashion News Live is so widely viewed that I became known as the clumsy, yet likeable, photo gal who fell to her knees for an image of the fashion icon herself. I returned to the tents the next season, and every season afterward to cheers and laughter from my colleagues who had viewed this story.

Creator and host Rocco G and his Fashion News Live team take these interviews very seriously. He speaks with all the fashion luminaries from coast to coast with a crew of highly professional producers and camera operators, bringing us the view from the inside track, coupled with fun questions and interesting observations.

It is no wonder that if you Google-search “fashion NEWS”, The Fashion News Live website will come up in the top ten listings, purely out of popularity! Where else can one view an interview with a Getty Images photographer and then skip over to a Q & A with style guru Carson Kressly (from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy), celebrity makeup artist Sharon Gault, or fashion maven and socialite Nicky Hilton? For as much fun as I have photographing these fashion icons for Getty Images, Rocco G. puts the fun back into the fashion interview! Fun, fun, fun!!

I had a blast hanging with Rocco G at LA Fashion Week. We took turns interviewing and photographing all the beautiful fashion-goers, stylists in the know, designers, celebrities, and avant garde makeup artists. As I photographed, I observed how dedicated Rocco G and his team are to bringing out the best in people, as well as to finding fresh ideas and trends in fashion. This is one show that is on its way to the top of the charts, as a staple for all who seek the latest fashion tent tricks-of-the-trade, hints of trends to come, and the gossip of the day, and I am happy to have been on board for this season’s wild ride!

If you ever find yourself at The Fashion News Live camera, standing next to Rocco G, don’t be intimidated by his height – he was formerly a fashion model in Milan, so he does tower over my 5’7” frame – just give him a hug and a fashion kiss, and you’ll be fine! You can be rest assured that whatever you say to him, it will be presented in the most positive light – and you will walk away from the experience with a fashion friend for life!
