Gellar Takes Our Breath Away

Sarah Michelle Gellar conjured the breezy opulence of Cleopatra in a full-length turquoise and gold Temperley London Resort gown for the premiere of Jieho Lee’s “The Air That I Breathe” at the ArcLight. She emphasized the regal tone of the dress with her choice of warm gold hoops and a clique of delicate gold bangles on her wrist. The “Cleopatra Look” has surfaced throughout time, most notably in the 1960s (below left), influenced by the 1963 epic film starring Elizabeth Taylor (below right). Gellar’s elegant nod to the ancient diva of Egypt is understated, no heavy eye Kohl or bangs are needed.
