Former John Kerry groupie and current Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards picketed with members of the Writers Guild of America on Friday in Burbank, California. Edwards delivered an impassioned speech to the strikers, supporting their cause and calling out for solidarity.

The unfortunate strike soldiers on. While it’s hard to deny that the WGA could have been a lot more aggressive with attempts to avert the strike months ago, the studios and networks are puzzling casual bystanders with their intransigence on handing over a piece of the online revenue pie. This is revenue that they claim doesn’t exist. Riiiiiiiiiiight. So why not give some of this ‘non-existent’ revenue to the writers?
